not prone to motion sickness;

 experience working at sea;

 training and/or experience in commercial fishing, biological sciences and/or
   regulatory enforcement;

 good written and verbal communication skills;

 good math skills;

 bilingual (French and English);

 demonstrated ability to work long hours under adverse conditions
   and without direct supervision;

 demonstrated availability and mobility on very short notice;

 mature, honest and careful.
